I like the direction I'm goin' with
the colored pencils...just hate that there
are still so many things to fix.

Detail from below...

This one was fun...

I put my favorite type of sink
behind him. Still too cartoony for
my tastes...trying to figure out
why my linework is coming out
that way...must be some setting
on my pencils.

Going to do a whole bunch of these shirtless
men in jeans...cause I like looking a them!
Still somethings to fix...but basically this is it.

J contacted me out of the blue and wanted to model
so I said...DUH! Yes...of course...the last one of the day
is when I am warmed up and lines are flowing.

These are the warmups...just conte
on white. The first one up there
is the only one I like...of the three.

Legs are wonky on this one...

Proportions are off on this one...

Quintessential torso for me....
this is on a scrap of sanded pastel stock
very small...only about 6" x 9"

Retouched just a bit...Like them
better now.

In trying to draw everyday,
I snuck a coffee the other day
and sat and sketched. The angles on this
sketch above are soooo bad. I could
blame it on the small table in the back
corner I was at...but I won't. Just me.

This guy was making all the girls
giggle and when he left they debated
his name. They all agreed it started
with "handsome".

When I worked as a carpenter, I promised myself
I would go to sites and draw. Have not done it.
Seeing this manlift reminded me how much
I enjoy drawing machinery and heavy equipment.

My son "owed" me some chores,
so I had him model. Trying some new
things with washes and pastels.

Still too cartoony for my taste.
