Callan. Trying to sketch the kids as much

as possible lately. Here, she is playing with 

her older brother's IPOD...

This drawing is a commission. A life 

drawing with anatomical details for a chiropractor's 

office. About 32" x 40".... It is not finished yet. 

I can see several things I need to fix...

but I like the aspect of classical feel

tied to the anatomical. 

2 (crummy) pastels...I like what I learned in these, 

but they could be so much better!

Don't know why these are so hard 

to see...I apologize. 

Gestures...again. Really need to do

more of these. Had some time

with a model today...and 

had some fun for the first time

in a while.

These range from 2 minutes to 10..

the ones with some shadows laid in.

This one was when he was reaching

for the rebar in the loft above him

and his legs were tensed so well.

I really am pleased with how 

the model's right leg, especially 

the knee turned out. 

He actually did several chinups

on a piece of rebar I have in the 

studio. Installed in the loft to hang

things...it works for models

to pose from!

Wanting to really use this great blue

paper (by Canal) to a new extent...

tried some soft pastels for the first 

time in a long time. With black conte.

Plan to do a little more with this one.
