New favorite drawing of Manny. Balancing
a board on one of the heaters I got a great view
of this pose.

This page was done over several week with
different models.
Drawing affects everything I do. When I am talking with someone, I am invariably drawing them with my eyes...when I "try" to paint...I sketch it in my head first. I take solace in drawing during difficult times....it is in everything I do.

Stupendous! Just dropped in here for another 'fix'..... you certainly are an inspiration Tracey!
Hi Tracey,
Thanks so much for the enlightening class this morning. Here is some information about the term "Wabi-Sabi" from Wikipedia:
Wabi-sabi (in Kanji: 侘寂) represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience. The phrase comes from the two words wabi and sabi. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" (according to Leonard Koren in his book Wabi-Sabi: for Artists, Designers, Poets and Philosophers).
Richard R. Powell summarizes by saying "It (wabi-sabi) nurtures all that is authentic by acknowledging three simple realities: nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect."
Your work is fabulous! Hope to see you again at another class!!!
Best Regards,
-Mary Ellen Segraves
Excellent studies.
I especially like the foreshortened(sp?)perspective on the first one and the lighting on both.
Kind regards,
José
